The Little Things

Stop and think for a moment about the little things in life. The soft chirp of a bird, the sound of the crunching snow beneath your feet, the way the clouds move swiftly through the sky, and separate just enough to see the sun shine through, to let us get that one last ray of hope.  The beautiful evergreens that stand tall true all year through, The simplicity of a birds nest that brings safety and peach to the inhabitants thereof. The amazing rock formations that have been created throughout many years.  How simple yet meaningful a circle can be, there is no end and no beginning, it goes on and on forever.  The American flag, although it may only be pieces of cloth sewn together, the meaning is true and unchanging.  We have freedom, agency, the choice to do what we want when we want.  We can worship how we want and we can raise our families the way we choose, all because we are Americans and we have that great freedom. The significance of our amazing temple.  Its white outer outer shell and design, landscaped with many beautiful trees, and flowers. Yet on the inside it stands for so much more, it stands for testimonies, sacred ordinances, and things so powerful we on the outside cant see it.  It stands for truth in all nations.
You are probably wondering where all this is coming from and why I even posted it on here, but this all came from the billings temple.  I was having a rough week and I decided to take a walk around the temple grounds when I noticed all these small and simple things that bring so much love and beauty around us.  I take for granted the small and simple things, even though its by small means that great things come to pass.  I'm grateful for the little things in life, because without them I don't know where I would be.

Day 1

I recently came upon a 30 day blog challenge where I say something different about my life every day.  I thought it would be a great opportunity to try it out and see where it takes me.  So I guess here it goes, I don't know how well I'm going to be able to do but I'm gonna give it my best shot.

Day 1
15 different facts about myself:
1. My family means everything to me! They support me in everything I do and I love them so very much!
2. When you first get to know me I'm super shy, but once you get to know me I'm completely insane!
3. I have not read the Twilight saga only because that's what everyone else did.
4. I have a strong passion for soccer and I love playing it.
5. I am a strong LDS member and I love being a part of it.  I love church and all it teaches me and prepares me for life.
6. I love being outside!! I love camping, 4-wheeling, throwing a frisby with my siblings, pretty much anything out doors and i'm there!
7. I love making people happy, I love to make them laugh. Even though half the time when I make a joke I'm the only one that laughs.
8. I have loved being in Powell Wyoming for College, the first month was probably the hardest and longest month of my life! Many tears were shed that first month and I almost just gave up and went home.  But then just in the nick of time I met some pretty amazing people that will probably be my life long friends.  It has been a huge growing experience for me and I have learned A LOT about myself!!
9. If I set my mind to something, it will get accomplished! I'm very determined and I will not back down to a challenge!
10. I'm very very stubborn and If I don't want to do something, I most likely wont do it.  I have always been very independent so its hard for me to rely on people to do things for me.
11. I learned how to water ski when I was five years old.  The very first time I tried it i fell down and the ski popped up and hit me in the nose and made it bleed.  I wanted to get out that second, but my dad made me get back in the water and try it again, even though I was crying super hard.  I got back out there and tried it again, and this time I got up and did pretty darn good!! Ever since then my dad has always pushed me and it has helped me in so many ways!
12. Music is my passion.  If I'm in a bad mood or if something is not going right for me, I can always rely on my ipod to cheer me up.  It seems that it always knows what songs I need to listen to for the day.
13.I have really bad road rage.  At times I will yell at the people in front of me even though they cant hear me.
14. When I was little I lived in Moab and we had the best neighbors ever there, I was given the name Mega moo and that nick name has stuck with me forever.
15.  And last but not least I absolutely hate sea food!! The smell and texture and just everything about it makes me sick! I cant stand it!!

Well I hope you all enjoyed learning a little bit more about me!
Love always megan
